The Babysitter: Killer Queen may keep fans of the original entertained and deliver enough enjoyment to ensure the hour and 40 minute film isn't a total waste of time, but there's undoubtedly more satisfying horror comedies out there - even on Netflix itself. It's by no means a must-watch Netflix movie, and certainly isn't worth watching for those who haven't seen the first film (if that's the case, just watch The Babysitter and decide whether to watch the less inventive, less fun sequel). It's a fine horror comedy - not bad, not great, not so-bad-it's-good - with bloody kills and humor throughout to keep viewers entertained, if not necessarily on the edge of their seat. As a result, The Babysitter: Killer Queen may be worth a watch for those who enjoyed the original and just want to see more of the funny antics delivered by Thorne, Amell, Bachelor and Lee. The Babysitter: Killer Queen Soundtrack 2020 14 songs. Ultimately, The Babysitter: Killer Queen is more of the same as the original, but since it's a sequel, there are fewer of the fresh ideas that may have won over audiences who don't typically watch horror comedies. Listen to all 14 songs from the The Babysitter: Killer Queen soundtrack, playlist, ost and score. Altogether, the cast is fine, clearly having fun with the material, and some of that gets translated to the screen, but not nearly enough. Additionally, Lind's Melanie is a fine villain, though not really memorable either. Cole and Phoebe are the heroes of this story and Lewis and Ortega deliver a nice, grounded dynamic at the heart of the movie, even if their stories aren't the most original. But even their schtick wears thin, and the movie clearly knows that, as the original cult members aren't really the focus of Killer Queen. ![]() While there's some of that again in The Babysitter: Killer Queen - and the movie even gives them some back stories - the sequel is too reliant on their characters, failing to introduce any new cult members that are even half as entertaining as Thorne's airhead cheerleader or Amell's psychotic, shirtless jock. Their over-the-top personalities, especially when they were at odds with their goal to kill Cole, was what brought humor to The Babysitter and made it so fun to watch. The Babysitter: Killer Queen: Directed by McG. If you are going to produce a sequel, at least keep it true to the source material. The Babysitter: Killer Queen took the worst possible narrative and turned it into a barely coherent sequel. ![]() ![]() It's shocking the script used for the film wasn't a rough draft for a potential plot sequence. The Babysitter: Killer Queen doesn't have anything clever, wastes money on needless graphics, and fails to deliver on narratives in the original. The Babysitter wasn't a masterpiece when it came to dialogue, yet in comparison to its sequel, it looks Oscar worthy. The team of McG (also Director of both films), Dan Lagana, Jimmy Warden, and Brad Morris cobbled together a film full of unrelated film references and teenage sex jokes. The issues come down to Brian Duffield not being retained as the screenwriter. I enjoyed The Babysitter, however, The Babysitter: Killer Queen had very little in common with the first film.
